With great pleasure Sunny Devi Yoga has invited her teacher, Tina Pashumati, to open and celebrate the New Year with a magical healing ceremony on Friday 2nd January 2026.

Tina will be assisted by Sunny Saraswati Devi on this very special occasion. Sunny is one of Tina's senior teachers and has been with her for many years.
Known as “the wild child of Ashtanga Yoga” she started teaching in her hometown Cheltenham in 1991, taught by her teachers Shri K Pattabhi Jois and his son Manju Jois, Sharon Gannon and Shyamdas.
Ashtanga is a healing practice, and the asana sequences are the ground from which we can build our own personal practice based on our unique bodies, ages, identities, mind types, injuries and traumas. Therefore this practice is welcoming to all.
Tina’s teaches in the most compassionate and inclusive way where you will be respected and accepted as you are. You will be encouraged to follow the traditional method of healing therapies with kindness, care and love.
We invite you to join us on this very magical New Year’s Day with the therapeutic healing practice of Ashtanga Yoga and the Breath of Light on Pranayama - The Magic of Yogic Breath work. Tina will let us explore the science and philosophy of the breath and its profound ability to create calm and clarity, and she will guide us through breathing exercises that will transform the mind and body. The Yogic Breath work will be followed with a magical Sound Meditation Experience.
This Sound Meditation Experience is a gift of relaxation, bliss, and an energetic cleanse that will leave students feeling light, positive, peaceful and ready to welcome 2026.

Let’s celebrate with friends at St James Church as our community gathers in person to ring in the New Year with Asana, Breath work, Meditation and more!
This New Year’s celebration is open for all levels of practitioners – from beginners to advanced. We will guide you seated on the chair or if you wish on the mat, the practice will be yours.
