MEET YOUR HOSTS
Sunny is opening her doors into the world of the South of France where she grew up spending summer months from child hood throughout her adult life with her family and children building memories.
On this weekend Sunny will share special yoga practices and healing techniques, and will give you practical tools that will enable you to explore and experience the release of stress and pain in body and mind in aid of supporting a healthy transition in life.
Sunny’s years of study in the field of yoga therapy, trauma informed yoga, and breathing practices has given her the qualifications, experience and understanding of clients needs so she’s able to help them on their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual recovery.
She’s joined by Val from New U Therapies who she has been friends with for over twenty years. Over the years they’ve studied and deepened their knowledge and gained wisdom in their own field of work that has supported each other as well as helping students and clients on their path of life.
Nafia from Upraw Food has been Sunny’s friend for more than a decade and shares her love for yoga. Nafia is a well established retreat chef and is dedicated to the art of plant-based nourishment. She believes that the food served at a yoga retreat should be as restorative and intentional as the practice itself. Her approach centres on creating vibrant, whole-food meals that fuel the body and soothe ones spirit.
Sunny Devi
Sunny is an advanced international yoga teacher, and certified Senior Teacher with the Shantiseva Yoga Institute in Whistler, Canada, and the founder of Sunny Devi Yoga, based at The Isbourne Wellbeing Centre in Cheltenham, where she is also an affiliated tutor and educator in mental health and wellbeing.
Born in Seoul, South Korea, and adopted by Dutch parents, Sunny discovered yoga as a teenager through an Ashtanga practice in The Netherlands. What began as a personal practice has become a lifelong journey, shaping a teaching style that is intuitive, compassionate and deeply rooted in the belief that yoga is a pathway to healing, connection and self-discovery.
Specialising in Yoga Therapy, Trauma informed Yoga, Conscious Breathwork and Pranayama, Sunny creates a supportive space where students can feel confident to reconnect with their own inner being through conscious movement, breath and energy.
Living consciously means to appreciate and love all life and draw inspiration from the natural world, her teaching blends together yoga philosophy, music, sound, breathwork and movement, inviting students to cultivate presence, resilience and a more conscious way of living.
During the retreat, Sunny will lead yoga, conscious breathwork, mantra and sound practices, creating the foundation for the day’s journey. Each session is thoughtfully designed to encourage transformation, awaken inner strength and gently guide guests towards lasting wellbeing and a deeper connection with themselves.

Val Payne
Val has spent more than 30 years helping people look and feel their best. Her journey began in the beauty industry, where she built and ran successful businesses before a growing passion for natural health and holistic wellbeing inspired her to retrain as a Kinesiologist and establish New U Therapies in 2014.
Drawing on her expertise in Kinesiology, Nutrition, Massage, Reflexology, Reiki and a range of complementary therapies, Val takes a truly personalised approach to wellbeing.
Her treatments are designed to restore balance on every level, supporting physical health, emotional resilience, nutritional wellbeing and inner calm.
With a warm, intuitive and compassionate nature, Val believes that lasting wellness comes from treating the whole person rather than simply addressing symptoms.
During the retreat, Val will be offering her healing energy work on a nurturing one-to-one basis integrating some or all her combined therapies together on an energetic level. Working alongside Sunny’s yoga, breath and sound practices, her treatments will provide guests with an opportunity to relax deeply, restore balance and support their wellbeing throughout the retreat.*
*Val's treatments are not included in the retreat package and will need to be paid separately with her.
